  • Floyd County Schools Launches New Messenger System The Floyd County School District has launched the Infinite Campus Messenger System for the upcoming school year to notify staff, parents and students of important information such as attendance, general interest activities, campus and district closures, as well as emergency communications. If you already have a Portal Account with Infinite Campus, you also have access to viewing and updating your notification preferences.  If you do not have an Infinite Campus Portal account, you will get notifications based on your preferences already in our Student Information System.  Check out the requirements for signing up for an Infinite Campus Portal account as well as any instructions or assistance you may need at Parents/Infinite Campus Portal.

  • School Board August Meeting Date Change The regular meeting of the Floyd County School Board has been changed for the month of August.  The School Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the School Board Administrative Office.

  • Floyd County Public Schools Notice of Record Destruction – Special Education The Floyd County School Board, in accordance with the Virginia Public Records Management Manual, is destroying the special education files of students born in 1989.  If you wish to pick up this file, it will be available at the Floyd County School Board office prior to August 15, 2016.  Identification will be required.  If you are the legal guardian of your child, you may pick up the file, providing both identification and legal notice of guardianship.

  • Opportunity to Attend Under-populated Classrooms Floyd County Public Schools has designated the following classrooms as underpopulated for the 2016-17 school year.  Policy JC gives parents/guardians an opportunity to request for students to attend underpopulated classes in the division based on classroom averages.  Transportation will not be provided by the school system for students outside the originating bus route.  A letter requesting the change in attendance area, as well as a form found on our website would need to be sent to the Superintendent and approved by the School Board.  Parents that request a change in school attendance area will be notified by August 1st as to whether the request has been granted.  Permission will be granted on an annual basis dependent upon ...
