FCPS Parent Survey on Grading Period LengthThis survey has now ended. Thank you for your participation!
The Floyd County School Board and administration are
exploring the possibility of going to a nine week grading period for the
2016-2017 school year. Currently grades are given to students on a six week
grading period. We would like your input on this topic through participation in
a survey. Below is a link to a document with information on the
comparison of the nine week grading period and the six week grading period.
The survey will be open from January 14 through January 29.

Floyd County School Board sets 2016 Regular Monthly Meeting ScheduleIn
official action on January 12, 2016, the Floyd County School Board set its
regular monthly meetings to be held on the second Tuesday of each month.
Board meetings for the months of February – May 2016, will begin at 6:00
p.m. Meeting times for the remainder of the year will be determined
at the May school board meeting. All meetings will be held at the School
Board Administrative Office.

Floyd County School Board Meeting & Public HearingThe Floyd County School Board will meet on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 for its regular meeting beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the School Board Administrative Office. A public hearing will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. to receive citizens' comments for consideration in preparing the 2016-17 school budget.
