School Performance Report Card SurveyThe
Virginia Department of Education is asking parents and other members of the
public to complete a 16-item online survey on improving annual School
Performance Report Cards for schools, school divisions and the commonwealth.The
survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous.The survey
may be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/schoolreportcards and will
remain active until Friday, August 14, 2015.

Opportunity to Attend Under-populated Classrooms
The School Board of Floyd County Public Schools has
instituted a new policy to help correct overcrowded classrooms.Policy JC now gives parents/guardians an
opportunity to request for students to attend underpopulated classes in the
division based on classroom averages.Transportation will not be provided by the school system.A letter requesting the change in attendance
area, as well as a form found on our website (Click Here), would need to be sent to the Superintendent
and will be approved by the School Board. Parents that request a change in school
attendance area will be notified by August 1st as to whether the
request has been granted. Permission will be granted on an annual basis
