* Cole Harris for winning the CTE logo design contest!  Look for his design around FCHS soon!  Designs by Hannah Mitchell, Matt Poff, Stephanie Reed, Alex Wallace, and Brandon Hartman were chosen as finalists.  Great job guys!

* The Forensics Team for being DISTRICT CHAMPIONS last night at Eastern Montgomery High School! (Please see Coach Landis for your individual score sheets, and remember that Regionals is coming up on March 3rd.  Forensics practices next week are CANCELLED, unless you would like to sign up for a practice with Coach Landis.  Sign up on the sheet outside of room 311.)

VALENTINE'S DAY FLOWERS ARE FOR SALE

Horticulture will be selling carnations for Valentine's Day during lunch on Wednesday through Monday.   The flowers are $1.50 each and will be delivered during 3 rd period on Valentine's Day.  Support the horticulture class and buy your loved ones and friends a flower!  If you have any questions see Ms. Jones in 206.

 

THE WINTER BALL

Will be TOMORROW, Saturday, February 11th from 8 until 11 pm .  Tickets will be on sale during lunches starting Wednesday.  Tickets will be $5.00 each.

 

FOOTBALL

After school football weight lifters should report to the 1st floor hallway at 3:35 today (2/10).

 

ATTENTION SENIORS

On Monday 2/13 we will be voting on two choices for the Senior T-Shirts during your English and Government classes. If you do not have those classes please see Mr. Snellings by Wednesday (2/15) to cast your ballot.  Once the ballots are counted the decision will be irrevocable.  We will begin to order shirts at the end of next week (2/16).

 

TENNIS ANYONE?

Girls interested in playing tennis this year, need to attend a brief meeting in room 209 on Friday (2/10) @ 3:00.   If you cannot meet at that time, please see Coach Burgard in Room 209.

Attention all Band students going to Florida next week:   There is a meeting TODAY (2/8) in the band room at 2:55 to receive your information packet and permission forms.  Please be prompt!!

 

SCA MEETING TODAY

There will be a very brief SCA Meeting in the cafeteria the last 15 minutes of 1st period (2/8) ONLY SCA Representatives and SCA Officers should attend.  Please see Ms. Nelson with questions.

Sophomores planning on going to Career Day at New River Community College March 6 th need to turn in permission slips by TODAY, Friday Feb 3.   Students can turn in permission slips to their English or Geography teacher, guidance, or to Mr. Rowe in the vocational building.

 

WINTER HOMECOMING COURT PICTURES

All members from the winter homecoming court who ordered pictures should see Ms. Nelson to pick up their pictures. (I'll be in room 106 during st period.)

to the Buffalo wrestling team for their 2nd place finish in the Three Rivers District tournament last night.  The buffalos are back in action next Friday and Saturday at the Region C tournament at Galax High School.  Good luck buffalo wrestlers!
