8th Grade Parents Information
New FCHS Mentor Program
In an attempt to assist in the transition process, a teacher mentor will be assigned to each 8th grade student at Floyd County high School. Therefore, each teacher and other members of staff will be given three or four students to mentor throughout the school year.
General duties/expectations of the mentor:
- Assist in transition by answering questions, offering assistance
- Monitor grades, attendance, and discipline
- Check planners
- Communicate with teachers
