Seniors
Seniors, before you say, "I can't afford college..."
Seniors, before you say, "I can't afford college...", imagine seeing a large sum of money on a table, with a note on it, "FOR COLLEGE--please fill out form". Would you fill out the form? If you said yes, here is what you will need:
- Yours and your parents' social security number
- Your driver's license number (if you have one)
- If you are not a US citizen, your Alien Registration Number
- 2010 federal tax info, or tax returns (including W2 info) for you and your parents
- Info on savings, investments, business and farm assets for yourself and your parents.
- A FAFSA worksheet, available at www.fafsa.ed.gov or from the career coach or guidance office
- Access to a computer
Complicated? Not really. Boring? Definitely. Necessary? Absolutely. Is there free help available? You bet.
See the career coach for more information. Most colleges have deadlines for having the FAFSA completed, so don't drag your feet!
