The Floyd County School Board has begun the process of hiring a new division superintendent and is seeking public input from parents, students, staff and community residents. A survey related to superintendent criteria is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FloydSearch, and on the home page of the division web site at www.floyd.k12.va.us. Survey forms are also available at each school site, the School Board Office, and the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library.
Please take a moment to complete the survey to provide your opinions on the qualifications and characteristics you feel are important in considering candidates for the school division’s new superintendent. The survey will be available beginning today until January 3, 2017. Hard copy surveys may be submitted to the School Board Administrative Office at 140 Harris Hart Rd. NE, Floyd, VA 24091.
In addition to the survey, the Floyd County School Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the School Board Administrative Office.
