Welcome to 1st Grade!  I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year.  We will have so much fun learning together!  We will do lots of hands on activities, brain breaks, STEAM activities, experiments, and much more.  You will also get to be the first group to enjoy new flexible seating options to help increase your learning.

This is my 17th year teaching.  I graduated from Radford University in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have spent my entire teaching career right here at Willis Elementary.  I spent 12 years in Kindergarten and I am currently in my 5th year of teaching 1st grade.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Will since 2002.  He works for VDOT right here in Willis.  My daughter, Laila, is currently a sophomore at FCHS where she is a member of the marching band.  She plays the snare drum and loves music and art.  We also have an adorable little Chihuahua named Bella.
