Here is the latest updates on the boiler replacements as of December 17, 2020:
All five schools have their 2 new boilers installed and their new propane tanks installed.
All boilers have been checked and certified by the insurance company boiler inspector.
All schools are currently being heated with the new boilers.
Pipe insulation work on the new boiler piping is ongoing, and will continue through the winter break.
Work on this project is scheduled to be completed in January, followed by final inspections and completion of punch list work.
New potable water systems (pumps, tanks, piping and controls) are being installed at Indian Valley Elementary and Willis Elementary to replace the existing systems.
Most of the new water system equipment is set in place. The plumbing and electrical work to connect the new equipment and operate the systems is scheduled to start on December 21.
The contractor is working to have the systems ready for final inspection by the Health Department and activation in early January before school resumes.
