March 19, 2020 -Health Department Hotline for COVID-19 (540-267-8240)
Hours have been set: (M-F: 8am-8pm, Saturday 8am-12 noon, Sunday 12 noon - 4pm).If you have developed a fever and/or symptoms of a respiratory illness (e.g. cough, difficulty breathing) and or traveled outside of the US within the last 14 days or to one of the areas of widespread transmission of COVID-19 (West Coast: Washington and California, or New York) please contact the hotline to determine if testing for COVID-19 is needed.
March 20, 2020 - The New River Health District has recently launched a new website to help keep the residents of the New River Valley informed of current health issues. This site is constantly being updated with the latest information including info on Coronavirus (COVID-19).
