Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)

The newly passed Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) establishes paid leave benefits to eligible employees that are impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The new legislation will be in effect from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020 and includes two separate benefits:
- The Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (EPSLA); and
- The Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act (EFMLEA).

To apply for leave under the FFCRA provisions, employees must complete the FFCRA Request for Leave Form. Please submit the form along with supporting documentation as required to the Payroll/Benefits Office.
