I have been blessed to be a part of Floyd County Public Schools as an instructor and nurse since 2017.   I am the instructor for the Sports Medicine program at FCHS.  I teach Introduction to Health and Medical Science, Introduction to Nutrition for Health and Medical Sciences, Dual Enrollment Medical Terminology, Sports Medicine I, and Sports Medicine II. I believe that FCPS cares for the students of our community and takes an active role in improving each student’s future. 

I have a true passion for education, nutrition, exercise science, health science, fitness and performance, emotional wellness, mental wellness, physical wellness, and lifelong learning.  The key to a student’s success is providing them with the opportunity to believe in themselves.  I believe in each of my students and my goal is to give them the tools to believe that they can achieve their dreams. 

I feel that education with a whole student approach can help to improve a student's current and future emotional, mental, and physical wellness as well as their overall well-being.  In my classroom, I focus on the whole student experience.  I feel that my students learn best in an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, cared for, and respected.
