Floyd County Schools is committed to supporting the diverse needs of all students through our Special Education & Student Services Department. We provide individualized educational services, resources, and support to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Our team works closely with families, educators, and community partners to deliver specialized instruction, counseling, and intervention services in a caring and inclusive environment. In accordance with the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act, Floyd County Schools offers evaluations and services at no cost to the parents for children ages 2-21 wiith disabilities and/or with suspected Disabilities


Disabilities can take many shapes and forms and include, but are not limited to, severe problems with learning, medical diagnoses, severe emotional and/or behavioral problems, developmental problems, and physical impairments.
