    Golf:

Finished strong with a 4th place Region finish in a very competitive Region (Appomattox won the State coming from Region C). Parker Mason qualified for the State meet and had a top 25 finish at the State Tournament.

     Volleyball:

There is no doubt that we played in the toughest District in the state for 2A.  Two teams from our district (Radford and James River) will be competing in the State volleyball tournament this week.  Both of which we won sets from during the regular season.  Our girls competed every night.

    One-Act (Theater):

We performed last Thursday at Radford and finished 3rd at the Sub-Region tournament.  Mrs. Emily Williams did a terrific job in her first season as head coach and was very pleased with the performance of her team.

     Boys and Girls Cross Country:

The Lady Buffs placed 1st in the Region C meet last week lead by Chloe Phillips’ first place finish and top 15 performances by Nadine Shannon, Abi Belshan, Solace Church, and Hannah Altizer.  The Lady Buffs are ranked in the top 3 of state and look to prove that ranking this coming Saturday at 10:30 at The Plains, VA.

The Boys Cross Country team came within 1 point of qualifying for the State Meet this weekend as well by running their best team race of the year at the Region C meet.  Andre Shannon finished 16th and will move on to compete at the VHSL State Meet this Saturday at 11:15 at The Plains, VA.

    Football:

The Buffaloes Football team finished their regular season with an impressive 8-2 record and will get to host a home Region game for the first time in several years.  We will host Gretna this Friday at 7:00.  Admission into the Regional game will be $7. Winner of our game will play the winner of Glenvar vs Dan River next Friday.
