Bridge Design in the Learning Lab

Grades 4th through 7th just finished their Bridge projects in the Learning Lab. Students were instructed to Design and Engineer Bridges using Certain materials and Constrictions. They designed their bridges using Scratch and then built a prototype off of their design.

Bridges had to connect 2 cups that were 1ft apart using  cardboard, Tape, Popsicle sticks, string and Hot glue. Their bridge had to hold the weight of at least 2 full soup cans.  Students worked very hard on their prototypes. Most students utilized the use of popsicle sticks and paper towel rolls , to help support their structures in the middle.
